We are STILL quaking from the aftershocks of It Ends With Us, more than a week after its release on August 9th. And one of the biggest praises for the film was for the casting of young Lily and young Atlas. In an industry where big names dominate Hollywood casts, it was so refreshing to see some fresh faces and a chance for some less experienced actors to work with big names like Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Playing young Atlas, Alex Neustaedter is super quiet on social media, and loads of people are desperate to know more about his life and his career. So, here’s a look at the up and coming actor life of Alex Neustaedter.

Alex is 26 years and is from Kansas

Born in Kansas, Alex moved to Los Angeles at 13 years old, a move which ultimately set him up for his career. He landed smaller roles in films such as Ithaca, where he worked alongside Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, all adding to his experience and confidence as a young actor.

He’s best known for his role in the USA Network TV series, Colony

Alex’s breakout role was as Bram Bowman in USA Network’s sci-fi series Colony. Aired from 2016 to 2019, Alex appeared in three seasons of the show and built a dedicated fanbase. He navigated the character’s transition from a teenager grappling with the dystopian world to a young man making tough choices, explaining how he was able to convey so many emotions as young Atlas in It Ends With Us.

He’s also starred as the main character, Miles Hill, in A.X.L., a 2018 movie about a top-secret, robotic dog who develops a special friendship with Miles who goes go to any length to protect his new companion. Sounds a bit cringy but hey, look at where it got him.

I know a bit of mystery is sexy but I’m not sure this counts? Alex recently wiped his Instagram account of most of his photos, meaning that all his edgy photos, including shots of himself walking, surfing and doing other vibey LA type stuff, will remain a mystery to his new fans.

While he hasn’t publicly explained the reason behind this decision, it could have something to do with upcoming promotions for It Ends With Us in order to curate his online presence or in preparation for a new phase in his career. Or maybe he cringed himself out. Who knows.
