Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn and American rapper Doja Cat have been spotted on a date walking around London together recently, which may seem like a rather unlikely pairing. But, if you’re up to date on internet lore, you might be screaming right about now because this relationship has been years in the making.
Doja Cat is pretty well known for having a huge crush on Joseph Quinn, who stole hearts everywhere in 2022 after the release of Stranger Things season four. Let’s walk through the entire Joseph Quinn and Doja Cat timeline, because it’s been a long time coming.

Doja Cat initiated all of this drama back in 2022, when she tweeted: “Joseph Quinn fine as s**t.” Stranger Things season four had just released onto Netflix three days prior with record-breaking views, and Joseph Quinn suddenly became everybody’s favourite man of the month. Doja Cat didn’t hesitate to shoot her shot on X, and let the world know that she thought he was very cute indeed.

Doja Cat didn’t just leave it there though – this was just the beginning of many tweets fawning over him, including messaging Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp on Instagram DM to “tell Joseph to hmu.” She was down bad.

Doja cat evidently did not take well to her DMs with Noah being outed on his TikTok, and took to an Instagram live to badmouth him to extreme levels. Note, Noah was just 17 at the time.
She absolutely went off on him: “You do dumb s**t, you say dumb s**t, you f***ing, f**k up relationships with people. You make mistakes.”
Doja did say however that she has had her “share of f**k ups” and learnt from her mistakes, before fuming that it was “like weasel s**t” for him to share their chat online.
Things seemed to cool down after this, and Doja and Noah made up, but there was no sign of any interactions between her and Joseph Quinn afterwards.

There’s no official hard launch yet, so we don’t know what’s actually going down with the pair. But, it feels like some kind of stars-aligned moment that the two are spending time together. We all know Doja Cat has been waiting for this.
