It’s been a strong start for Team GB this weekend at the Olympics, with Adam Peaty’s 100m breastroke final choking us all up yesterday for more reason than one. He’s done the unimaginable, winning a medal at three consecutive Olympic Games and bringing us all close to tears when celebrating with his family and son. Being cheered on by his mum, little boy and girlfriend Holly, it’s only natural to want to know more about the Olympian’s current dating life after being shown so much support on the sidelines.

The pair met four years ago in 2019 when Adam was training at Loughborough University. Eiri was studying a degree in fine art at the time when the pair hit it off and started dating.

Preferring to keep his relationships private, Adam Peaty announced in April 2020 that he and Eiri were expecting a baby but that they had been forced to announce the news early due to a press leak. He shared a week later that they’d be expecting a little boy.

Their son, George-Anderson Adetola Peaty, was born on September 11th 2020, with the couple sharing the news of his 9lb 7oz arrival online.

July 2021: Eiri graduated whilst Adam was in Tokyo preparing for the Olympics

Adam missed Eiri’s graduation, instead being all the way in Tokyo as he prepared to win two golds and a silver medal.

September 2021: Adam went on Strictly Come Dancing, sparking rumours about an affair

Adam Peaty and his relationships with contestants on Strictly hit the news after he joined the show in 2021 and was partnered with Katya Jones. Whispers quickly spread about romance between them after a passionate moment where they nearly kissed after a routine. Eiri responded at the time with a playful video of her pretending to cry, captioning it: “Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV finding out 10 million people also watched it.”

In a later interview, Eiri claimed that Adam had failed to reassure her that the rumours of romance with Katya weren’t true after speculation started about possible romance. Adam instead posted on social media: “To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real-life consequences. I will not be overcome or lowered by your gossip. Protect your energy.”

Despite the romance, Eiri explained that even “if it wasn’t for Strictly”, they would have split for other reasons, confessing: “Sadly if it wasn’t for Strictly it would’ve been something else. I’m grateful we found out we were not meant for each other sooner rather than later, for the sake of our young son.”

After three years together, Adam announced their breakup online, explaining they instead were focussing their energy on raising their son. He wrote on Instagram: “Eiri and I have decided to go our separate ways.

“We have enjoyed a wonderful three years together, two of those with our gorgeous son George. Our priority has always been to provide the happiest and healthiest home environment for him, and right now that means ending our romantic relationship.

“I could not ask for a greater mother for George and I am so grateful to Eiri for her amazing support over the last three years.

“Eiri and George, I’m sorry for letting you down. My only interest is for the wellbeing of our family at this difficult time so I ask that our privacy is respected and I won’t be saying anything further.”

Eiri wrote: “The last three years have been so, so, amazing. Our little family have experienced so much laughter, love, and joy.”

2021: Adam meets Holly Ramsay on the set of Strictly Come Dancing

The daughter of Gordon Ramsay, Holly and Adam met during Strictly Come Dancing 2021 when Holly’s younger sister Tilly competed against him on the show. Adam had apparently made a move after liking her photos online, with a source telling The Sun: “Holly is a gorgeous girl and Adam sparked up a conversation on social media.

“He was liking a lot of her photographs on Instagram and he’s now made a move. They have been seeing each other for around a month and Adam is made up.

“Holly invited Adam to spend time with her at the house owned by her dad Gordon and mum Tana. It gave them proper alone time and made them realise they wanted to become more serious.”

Holly Ramsay shared a series of photos of herself back in 2023, tagging Adam in the carousel. After that, she shared photos of them together getting up to all sorts, including travelling together and attending the F1. According to Instagram, he’s super involved with her younger brothers, whilst Holly herself posted multiple photos beside swimming pools supporting Adam.

The pair look really happy together bringing up Adam’s son George when he’s not with his mum, even introducing him to Holly’s little brother, Oscar.

Supporting him alongside his mum, Holly held his son George whilst Adam won joint second in yesterday’s 100m breaststroke final. The couple celebrated his win with a kiss after his win, picking up George and shedding many tears.

July 2024: Eiri congratulates Adam for his win online

In a post to her Instagram Story, Eiri congratulated Adam for his silver medal in yesterday’s race. Sharing a picture of Adam holding their son George, she wished him “congratulations” and wrote: “George is so proud of you! He doesn’t see the worth of a medal but the absolute strength and determination that got you it. These are the qualities I pray he inherits.

“This moment will inspire him and drive him for the rest of his life. Thank you for giving him that.”
