From co-stars to A-List actors, the relationship history of Zac Efron is rich. Once the crush of every teenage girl with a DVD player and minor High School Musical obsession, Zac himself has quite roster and has dated some impressive celebs.

So whilst he appears to be currently single, here’s a look at the complete relationship history of Zac Efron.

Vanessa Hudgens – 2005 to 2010

Zac dated his HSM co-star, Vanessa, after the pair met in 2005 when he was only 17. They were in a relationship for five years before Vanessa ended things, telling Scott Feinberg on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast: “I was a baby, I was 15 years old, and I was like ‘Oh my God this guy is so cute!’ so that definitely helped the chemistry. We kind of created a bond right from the start — we were like, ‘we’re doing this.'”.

In 2012, Zac dated Lily Collins, daughter of legend Phil Collins and known to most of us now as Emily from Emily in Paris. Of course, the pair later went on to star alongside one another in Netflix film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, with Zac playing Ted Bundy. An insider explained to Us at the time: “They were never serious, though; it was just a casual thing and it fizzled. They were never in the same place at the same time.”

Michelle Rodriguez – 2014

In the summer of 2014, Zac was said to have had a two month fling with Fast and the Furious star after they were spotted kissing in Ibiza. However by August of 2014, multiple sources confirmed to Us that they’d split, adding: “Michelle is going to do her own thing. Zac knew this about her when he got with her. He’s very into her though, and perhaps more than she’s into him.”

Sami Miró – 2014 to 2016

Zac had a year and a half long relationship from 2014 to 2016 with Sami Miró, a businesswoman. Sami got a lot of attention from the media after becoming official with Zac, explaining to Elle: “It’s definitely different”.

Alexandra Daddario – 2017

Whispers about romance between Zac and co-star Alexandra began after the pair costarred in the Baywatch movie in 2017. Despite the hopeful fans, Alexandra shot all rumours down, saying at a press conference: “We work together closely; he’s my love interest in the film. I understand why people would go crazy over something like that, but Zac and I are very good friends.”

Despite the denial, they were both seen walking their dogs together in March 2016 and there was definitely some friendly flirting shared between the duo, with Zac referring to Alexandra as a “hot bitch” on Instagram in August that same year.

Zac Efron’s relationship history took a turn when rumours sparked of romance with Rebecca Ferguson. Romance between Rebecca and Zac was never confirmed – but neither was it denied. After working on The Greatest Showman together, speculation of the pair dating began, with Zac sharing a photo in December 2017 of Rebecca looking at him lovingly with his arm wrapped around her. He wrote: “Only words I can think of now are: wtf were u thinking dude?! Look at her!! #GreatestShowman #RebeccaFerguson.”

Sarah Bro – 2019

Zac and Sarah were spotted attending a fitness class in LA together back in January 2019. His romance with the Olympian swimmer was later confirmed in March 2019, but they soon split in January 2020.

Halston Sage – 2019

Despite rumors of Zac and Halston dating in April 2014, the pair got together for real in late 2019. The pair starred in Neighbours together, with a source telling Us: “They are in a serious relationship and in love.” Despite that, they split later that year.

Vanessa Valladares – 2020 to 2021

After meeting in June 2020 whilst she was working at the Byron Bay General Store & Café in Australia, Zac and Vanessa’s friendship quickly turned romantic. A source told Us in September 2020 how “things moved quickly” and they they were “very smitten with each other.” They split in April 2021.
