It’s official: These are the best unis you can study at for every single subject in 2024

The Complete University Guide 2025 was released yesterday, and it told us the very best unis in the country as of right now. It looks at factors such as student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, staff-to-student ratio and graduate prospects to work out which unis are the very best and most respected in the UK.

But besides all of these factors, the guide also includes a ranking of every single subject you can study from your classics like history or biology, all the way through to your more niche ones like town and country planning.

And naturally, with Cambridge topping the rankings overall, it hogs the limelight with a lot of subjects, taking the top spot in 32 out of 73 subjects overall. Oxford obviously ranks first for a lot of them too and other unis like Imperial College London and LSE have also done fairly well.

So, these are the best unis for every single subject in 2024:
