Omg, University of York Harry Styles Society is back and better than ever
StylesSoc has had an exciting revamp
The Harry Styles Society at the University of York has recently been adopted and renewed.
In the spring semester of 2022, the original StylesSoc was established, and was then put up for adoption in 2023 before being adopted and revamped in December 2023 – and the new and improved StylesSoc is well under way.
For any previous StylesSoc members or for any interested Harries, this new society promises a great opportunity to get involved with all things Harry. The York Tab spoke to committee president Subi, who is thrilled to be starting up the society again, and encourages all to “tell your mates and dates that StylesSoc is taking York by storm!”
StylesSoc promises that exciting events are being planned, such as themed club nights, film screenings, birthday celebrations, and quiz nights. Treasurer Dani said, “we’ve had so much fun putting the timetable together, organising the events, and we can’t wait to see everybody there.”
The York Tab attended the very first event, a celebration for Harry’s birthday. It was a fantastic evening filled with classic party games, best song debates, and music video watch parties. See the timetable below for upcoming events, including next week’s club night.
Acceptance is one of the main values of the society. The StylesSoc committee tells the York Tab that they aim to create a supportive community where all fans can get together and make new friends, and share the Harry love. It is an inclusive, judgement-free zone: “whether you’ve loved him since the X Factor days or whether you’re a 2023 fan – all Harries are welcome.”
