Wait, do Nicola Peltz and Victoria Beckham actually have beef with each other?

Over the last month, rumours have been circulating about the supposed drama between Nicola Peltz and Victoria Beckham. Nicola married Brooklyn Beckham in May 2022 and it was a stunning affair, but the months that followed are not what you’d expect for a newly wed couple. In August 2022, a source told Page Six there was an issue between the two families and since then, it’s been rumours of drama surrounding the wedding ever since.

Nicola and Brooklyn have since denied there is an ongoing feud, but here is a rundown of all the drama that has allegedly happened between Victoria and Nicola:

There was a lot of tension building up to the wedding day

The main fuel behind the rumours was regarding Nicola not letting Victoria design her wedding dress. The theory blew out of proportion when Nicola shared a photo of her Valentino couture gown and wrote: “My dream dress”, and thanked the designers. Dress-gate didn’t stop there as Victoria then shared a selection of photos of wedding guests who wore her designs. She wrote: “So proud to have dressed some of my favourite ladies and best friends for the occasion.”

The source who spoke to Page Six said tension between the families had been growing over time, saying: “They can’t stand each other and don’t talk. The build up to the wedding was horrendous.” The insider said that Nicola and her family did not want Victoria “to be part of any of the planning” of the wedding.

The source then claimed Nicola was jealous of Victoria’s fame and attention, especially that of what she was receiving in the build up to her son’s wedding. While all that was going on, Victoria was said to have been hurt when Brooklyn shared a magazine cover which called Nicola “the new Mrs Beckham”.

Nicola reportedly ‘stormed off’ during her wedding reception

A source told the Daily Mail that Nicola was offended by a speech that is said to have been given at the wedding by Marc Anthony. Apparently the speech was “all about” Victoria and the source said “it was totally just an ode to Victoria and how awesome she is.” They said that Nicola was “really p***ed” off” by the speech.

Victoria apparently ‘stole’ the newlyweds’ first dance song

Another source claimed that Nicola was upset during the reception but alleged it was over Victoria having “stolen” hers and Brooklyn’s first dance song. The source said Victoria “stole” the song for the mother and son dance, reportedly moments before Brooklyn and Nicola had been meant to dance.

Brooklyn and Nicola have broken their silence on the alleged drama

In an interview with Variety, Brooklyn and Nicola addressed the rumours surrounding the choice in wedding dress designer. Nicola told Variety that she was originally going to wear one of Victoria’s designs until Victoria realised her studio wouldn’t be able to fit in the work that was needed.

Nicola said she “really wanted to” wear one of Victoria’s designs but then “a few months down the line, she [Victoria] realised that her atelier couldn’t do it.” She said: “I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it, I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”

Brooklyn squashed the rumours that the two families were feuding with each other and said “everyone gets along”. “I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good,” Brooklyn said.
