The Earl of Mercia is temporarily closed after a customer showing coronavirus has collapsed in the pub, The Coventry Tab can reveal.
The customer allegedly exhibited coronavirus symptoms, which are a fever and dry cough, then collapsed, and The Earl of Mercia pub has been closed as a result.
A Coventry student told The Coventry Tab: “Spoons is closed and staff are quarantined inside, I saw it happen, ambulance drivers were wearing biohazard stuff. The doors are closed, they won’t let anyone in.”
Earl of Mercia told The Coventry Tab: “Yes, we are closed, we plan to reopen around 2pm.”
