Jeremy Corbyn visited south Wales over the weekend

Crowds gathered across south Wales this weekend, as Jeremy Corbyn toured the south coast just days before the General Election.

He first stopped at Barry near Cardiff and later spoke at the Patti Pavilion in Swansea, followed by Carmarthen and Haverfordwest.

In a tweet, Mr Corbyn said his trip to Wales was to promote his message that "Labour will build a fairer, more equal society" using the hashtag "#StandingUpForWales" in his tweet.

The hundreds of people who came out in the bitter weather to hear Jeremy Corbyn speak often cheered in unity. He spoke about the hot topics at this year's General Election including the NHS, austerity, social justice and the current Conservative government.

On Twitter, he demonstrated the crowds of people who attended his speech in Carmarthen.

He also posed for a photo at the seafront in Aberystwyth.

It wasn't all about the politics though, Mr Corbyn trialled out a welsh cake in Barry and also poured a pint in the Sports and Social Club on Barry Island.
