Tonight, we aren’t just annoyed — we’re scared shitless

Donald Trump is the President-elect, and women everywhere are terrified.

“I’m scared,” my younger sister texted me tonight.

“Please stay safe if you go out,” my brother messaged.

“I’m going to throw up,” “I’m crying,” “I don’t know what do to,” “What will I tell my daughter?”

“What are we supposed to do,” “I feel nauseous,” “Look at how he feels about me – about my sexuality, about my gender,” and the texts didn’t stop.

Women are not just annoyed. We’re annoyed when you talk over us, when you downplay our abilities, when you forget we worked twice as hard as you to get here.

Tonight, we are scared shitless.

People ask why women don't report sexual assault. You got your answer: a man can have double digit accusers & still be elected President.
