Behind the scenes at this year’s RAG naked calendar

Is this the year of the nipslip?

You’ve already seen the perfect shots that made it into this year’s RAG naked calendar – all student politicians pulling out their blue thunder and rugby captains getting their tackle out.

But really – really – you buy the calendar hoping they’ve accidentally included a pic of one of your mates showing a few extra pounds from Christmas, hair sensually poking into their eyes, and if you’re really lucky, a nipslip.

Unfortunately, this year’s participants made it through with all their dignity intact (we’ve checked) – so here’s some ‘outtakes’ from the shoot that didn’t quite make the cut.

RAG President Kieran Reals told the Soton Tab “The naked calendar is a chance for students to help raise money for charity whilst having a laugh at the same time.

“Each year it helps raise over £1000 that go towards RAG’s chosen charities that the student body chose in May.

“The money will be donated to Make A Wish, Student Minds and the Red Lipstick Foundation. These charities do incredible work by providing life change wishes for terminally ill children, promoting mental health conversations on campus and bereavement support for those who have lost someone through suicide.

“It is great to see the support that everyone gave to both the naked calendar and the other events that RAG have run throughout the year.”

You can buy the official RAG naked calendar from the SUSU shop.
