Education, Animal Science and Biology majors are among those most likely to be married within a few years of leaving college, according to a new study.

Researchers at Zippia, a grad career firm, examined 11,000 responses in US Census Bureau data to rank the percentage of each major which gets married by the time they’re 30. Education majors come top as 80 percent of them are hitched before they reach their thirties.

Media, Social Sciences and Geography majors come last, as just over 30 percent of them will be married by 30.

Data expert David Luther explains: “Our analysis of the latest Census data shows that your major in college serves as a predictor of when you’ll be married, even controlling for income and gender — which incidentally and independently are correlated to the age at which you marry.”
