Since he signed an executive order banning the citizens of seven countries from entering the US (even if they have green cards), Americans have been demonstrating the new law – which has been criticized as “an affront to human dignity.”
Last night, protesters descended on airports across the country to support returning green card holders who are being detained. And this afternoon in Manhattan’s Battery Park, a crowd of thousands stood in sight of the Statue of Liberty to show their outrage at Trump’s America. Here are some of their best signs from the day.
