No Ivies made the top 10

Financial experts Bloomberg have released their 2016 ranking of the best business schools in America.

The best B-school in the nation is at Villanova, whose program rose an incredible 23 places to take the top spot.

Schools from the North East dominated the top 10 as Notre Dame and BC came in second and third respectively and NYU Stern rounded out the list at number 10.

Other highly rated institutions include McIntire at UVA, which came fifth, Kenan-Flagler at UNC, which placed seventh and Ross at Michigan who jumped four spots from last year’s ranking to come eighth.

The business school with the highest salaries on graduating was UPenn’s Wharton where alumni average a starting wage of over $120,000.

This year’s table, based on surveys from 30,000 students and recruiters at almost 600 companies, was decided on four key categories.

Employer Survey (40 percent of total score): Feedback from recruiters who hire recent business graduates on how well schools prepared students for jobs at their companies.

Student Survey (35 percent):  Students’ own ratings of the campus, career services department, and faculty and administrators.

Starting Salary (15 percent):  The base compensation of students who had jobs lined up, adjusted for salary variation across industries and regions.

Internship (10 percent):  The percentage of a school’s graduates who had at least one internship at any time during college.
