Large police presence and roads closed after ‘serious incident’ in Nottingham City Centre

Some bus and tram services have been suspended

A police investigation surrounding a “serious incident” in Nottingham has caused significant disruption.

Police have cordoned off the city centre following multiple road closures stopping access for trams and some buses.

The operators of the tram network, the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) has said all of its services have been suspended.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has said it was also in attendance assisting the police force.

The public have been told to avoid the area and plan alternate routes.
