Lancaster’s Faculty of Health and Medicine announces International Women’s Day events

International Women’s Day is Wednesday 8th March


With March being Women’s History Month, the 8th of March is International Women’s Day, which is a day to celebrate all of the amazing achievements and societal contributions of women.

Lancaster’s Faculty of Health and Medicine has announced its events that will be taking place on March 8th.

Held at the Health Innovation One, there will be two events taking place during the day that will also be live-streamed on their Instagram live.

From 11am till 12pm, there will be a faculty film of “What does equity mean to you?” and “Mind the Gap”. From 12pm-1pm, you can join Academics, Athletes, Researchers, and Sports and Exercise Science students in a discussion of “How level is the playing field?” where they’ll be talking about if and how women are represented in health and sports.

The event is free to attend and it doesn’t require booking, and there will be light refreshments provided.
