LUSU Election votes now open

The vote will close on Friday


Voting for the LUSU election candidates is now open.

The vote opened this morning at 10 am, and will be closed on Friday at 3 pm, with results being announced the same day at 7 pm.

Students have the opportunity to vote for nine new roles, for which 19 candidates are in the running.

The elections are for the FTO roles of LUSU President, VP Union Development, VP Sport, VP Welfare, VP Education, LGBTQ+ Officer, Mature Students’ Officer, VP Societies and Media, and Students with Disabilities Officer.

There is also the opportunity to vote to reopen nominations for each role.

Candidates began campaigning last week, more information on all of the candidates and their policies can be found here and here.

The election for the students’ union Full-Time Officers is accompanied by elections for LCO’s, JCR By-elections, and NUS By-elections.

Following the election, a national conference will be held on the 28th to the 29th of March for the officers.
