Polly forced to deny she’s running a MAFS fan account that defends herself and Adam

In today’s weird MAFS news that I’m totally obsessed with, bride Polly has been forced to deny she’s behind a MAFS burner and fan account that has been defending herself and Adam on TikTok. Yep, this is really happening.

Over the weekend, MAFS gossip page JetSeaGypsea made the wild claim that Polly had set up a fake account, and was replying to viewers who made comments about her and Adam on the show. However, speaking to The Tab, Polly has rubbished the claims and said, with respect, she has better things to be doing with her time.

Let’s rewind right to the start of the story – and people thinking Polly was running a burner account on TikTok. It had been noticed that an account under the name “Matteo” had been commenting on posts about Polly and Adam.

“Matteo was very keen to point out that Polly is definitely Adam’s type, and we’d got it all wrong,” JetSeaGypsea explained. “But then they said something weird, they said ‘he [Adam] says it in the next episode’.” Of course, everyone then wondered how a random guy called Matteo on TikTok could possibly know what was coming in the next episode.

JetSeaGypsea then “did some digging” and found the account had just been created, so must be a burner account. “It must be Polly, or at least a friend of Polly,” the TikToker said. It was noted Matteo had also been making similar comments on a whole bunch of videos about Polly and Adam.

It all got a bit more suspicious when as soon as TikToks started accusing Polly of being behind the account, Matteo’s profile was deleted, along with previous messages.

However, Polly has completely denied the account was ever being run by her, and laughed at the thought she would even have the time to do this. She told The Tab the account is categorically “not me” and added: “I think some people forget we’ve all got full time jobs and are trying to navigate the social media ourselves, let alone making fake accounts.”

She added whoever was running the Matteo account may have had good intentions in defending her and Adam, but they have in turn been “making it worse because it looks like me”. She added: “I couldn’t care less about defending myself to strangers on the internet, respectfully I’m 29 not 17.” Fair!

Polly said whilst she doesn’t feel it necessary to share and fuel this further, she has proof her personal account is the only account she owns, and if she was to set up a burner account she “definitely wouldn’t of chosen Matteo as a name.” You can’t argue with that.
