Chelsea opens up about feeling ‘uncomfortable’ with Romain’s behaviour on Selling Sunset
She was also ‘disappointed’ he felt the need to physically intervene
Chelsea has opened up about feeling “uncomfortable” and “disappointed” in the behaviour of Mary’s husband Romain during a tense conversation on Selling Sunset.
During the conversation, Chelsea and Mary were discussing a text that Chelsea had sent her which was completely unrelated to Romain, however, he kept getting physically involved between them.
This included Romain repeatedly putting his hand on Chelsea’s shoulder at which point Chelsea asked “where’s my bodyguard?” Mary then responded: “Call up your husband.” My jaw was on the floor.
During an Instagram Live last night, Chelsea covered a huge variety of topics surrounding the drama on Selling Sunset, including discussing how “disappointed” she was that Romain got involved in her conversation.
She explained that she tried to respect Romain as they’re both European but felt “disappointed” and “uncomfortable” over the fact he treated Chelsea as though she was going to attack Mary. She felt very unhappy that he repeatedly kept touching her shoulder and she kept having to move away but his behaviour still didn’t change.
She also briefly spoke about Mary’s comments about her skirt, saying that she ran out of outfits she hadn’t worn to film in before and whilst she knew it was short she didn’t have time to find something else. She added that everyone else in the office frequently wears short outfits so felt like Mary had brought it up as a form of “microaggression.”
