Wait, did Love Is Blind UK host Emma Willis just hit out at Sam in an interview?
‘You can spot the people who might not be there for the right reasons’
Yesterday, Matt and Emma Willis, the Love Is Blind UK hosts, spoke about their time on the show and shared a lot of insider information with Hunger magazine, but seemed to take a dig at contestant Sam. The interview actually mirrored a lot of the ideas put forward by Benaiah, who had a lot to say about Sam too.
The interviewer asked the couple about their first impressions meeting the cast: “When you first step into the room, do you get the sense which people are going to do well?”
Emma replied with: “No, but you can spot the people who might not be there for the right reasons.” Sound familiar?
Her answer is almost a word-for-word copy of the concerns Benaiah shared with Nicole in the pods. It sounds like, despite trying to remain unbiased, Emma agrees with what he said about Sam.
Later on in the interview, she was asked they look for in a contestant, she warned: “We want people who want it and don’t want people who don’t get along or just want to be on telly,” which again, echoes Benaiah’s big speech in episode three. They have similar ideas off the bat, but some of the things Emma is saying are literally identical to Benaiah’s exact phrasing, making it feel a LOT like a dig to Sam.

I mean, Matt and Emma never actually name drop Sam, but it feels very likely that he’s who they’re talking about given the drama he caused on Love Is Blind UK. It really did seem like all the other contestants were here for love – although you may think differently after watching the season’s finale today! Anyhow, looks like Sam made a lasting impression on the cast and presenters alike.
