Not even Sophie Ellis-Bextor could get full marks on this Saltburn soundtrack quiz

Saltburn is a twisted love story which follows Oliver (Barry Keoghan) as he becomes increasingly obsessed with his wealthy university pal Felix (Jacob Elordi). Elordi pretty much summarised the film on Saturday Night Live by joking: “If you saw the movie, thank you. If you saw the movie with your parents, I’m sorry. If you saw the movie with your girlfriend, you’re welcome.”

Saltburn is seriously sexy film with lots of lingering sunkissed scenes as the Catton family parade their beauty and money. It has a stellar cast: Elordi and Keoghan, as well as Rosamund Pike and Richard E. Grant. The film has made waves on TikTok, with the likes of the iconic grave scene and bathwater moment. However, it is the closing scene of the film (and more importantly the song) which has gone completely viral.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Murder on the Dancefloor has placed her on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time ever!  Murder originally landed at No. 98 whenSaltburn arrived on Amazon Prime and has been climbing since, most recently peaking at No. 58!  Set at Oxford University in 2006/7, the soundtrack is packed with noughties bangers from Girls Aloud and MGMT.
