A look over Jacob Elordi’s wild transformation as he goes from teen films to Oscar buzz

Jacob Elordi has had a truly insane year. It’s quite rare to see an actor go from one of the most roasted, cringe teen film franchises of all time to an actor getting near universal acclaim and Oscar buzz. You simply have to stan. I’m a film snob, self-confessed, so truly had no clue who this man was circa The Kissing Booth, and now I can’t escape him. I don’t want to escape him. He’s the one to watch and I cannot stop watching. Here’s a look back over the transformation of Jacob Elordi through the years, moving from the heart throb of a cringe Netflix franchise to the new big thing.

Nah, I’m sorry. That hair. I am finding it incredulously hard to believe that this is an image from 2018. It’s giving the early days of YouTube, I fear. I feel like I’m looking at something from 2012 at the LATEST. We’ve come so far.

The Kissing Booth 3 era (2021)

This hair is traumatising me. I need Jacob Elordi to never dye his hair again because the transformation from this Trump-voter looking hair to now is astonishing. So spiceless. The vanilla yoghurt of hair.

Nate Jacobs in Euphoria era

Oh yeah, that’s my man. We all like a bad boy, don’t we! Simply have to bow. He’s really in his element here. Gets extra fit points for looking exactly like the kind of fella who would traumatise me during uni.

Felix Catton era

The best thing about the absolute mess that is Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn is the transformation of Aussie Jacob Elordi into impossibly sexy Oxford Uni posho Felix Catton. The charm is off the scale. I don’t even like posh lads and somehow he makes it work.

Elvis era

Jacob Elordi’s playing Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla – out on New Year’s Day. The slick and sheen of him here is so jarring compared to how he looked as Felix Catton. I’m perched!

2023 red carpet king

And here we are. It’s ben a journey and it’s only been five years. I would do unspeakable things to look like this in a suit. Next up: The Academy Awards.
