A look inside all the wholesome relationships of your favourite OG British YouTubers

Our favourite OG British YouTubers have come a long way since their YouTube days, and so have their relationships. From messy divorces, and broken-off engagements to adorable marriages and children, they’ve all been up to a lot!

Let’s catch up on their current love lives, as well as see what they’ve been up to since moving on from their YouTube careers. And who knows, maybe we’ll even be able to find out what happened to Martha?

Zoe Sugg & Alfie Deyes

OH MY GOD. After 11 years and two babies, Alfie and Zoe are finally engaged! Alfie proposed to Zoe with a £100k ring whilst they were on holiday in Greece with his sister Poppy, and of course Alfie and Zoe’s daughter Ottilie. The two started dating in 2012, with Ottilie being born in August 2021, and their next baby is due in December!

Since their heyday on YouTube Alfie has launched his own clothing brand, Future Self which sells a range of tracksuits and athleisure wear, as well as Future Self Coffee which unsurprisingly sells coffee. From 2020 to 2021 he also ran his own podcast called The Secret’s Out where he interviewed a range of celebs including Robbie Williams, Meghan Trainor and Roman Kemp.

But Zoe is also a major businesswoman as the founder of lifestyle Zoella and the co-founder of photo apps Filmm and Template.

Caspar Lee & Ambar Driscoll

Caspar Lee was part of Alfie and Joe’s friend group and has been dating his fiancé Ambar for five years. The two recently got engaged earlier this year. Caspar is also co-founder of MVE Management alongside Joe Sugg, and Ambar is the founder of Bamby Collective which aims to help women make friends and establish roots in cities across the globe.

Jim Chapman

Jim Chapman divorced beauty guru Tanya Burr in 2019, and has since remarried and started a family. He got married to 29-year-old Sarah Tarleton in 2022, and they have one daughter called Margot, as well as a new addition to the family who arrived in August.

Tanya Burr

Tanya Burr was previously married to fellow OG YouTuber Jim Chapman, but the two shockingly announced their divorce in 2019, just four years after they married. She gave birth to her son, Sage Gabriel, in November of last year. So far Tanya hasn’t revealed the name or any pictures of who her new partner is, so like the mystery of where Martha the dog went, we’re being left in the dark.

Since leaving YouTube three years ago Tanya has transitioned to an acting career which has been received with mixed reactions. She also started a new line of beauty products under the name Authored in 2021.

Louise Pentland

Louise had one daughter Darcy in 2011, but divorced her previous partner in 2016. Since then she met her current fiance Liam O’Neill, and had her second daughter with him in 2018. Since then she has gone on to author her own range of books and design her own plus-size clothing range for SimplyBe.

She still posts regular content on YouTube, but it’s now more focused on family content.

Joe Sugg

Joe Sugg met his girlfriend Dianne Buswell on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 and since then the two have gone on to buy a house together, and are regularly seen on holiday together! Joe is the co-founder of MVE management along with Caspar Lee, which describes itself as the “next generation of management” and has offices in London and LA. He’s also the founder of the production company, Final Straw.

He’s also appeared in The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off, where he iconically fainted when he cut his finger, bless him. Joe has also starred in numerous TV shows such as the BBC show, The Syndicate as well as musical theatre where he played Ogie Anhorn in Waitress in 2019.

Marcus Butler

Marcus Butler was a firm member of ‘The Brit Crew’, who was dating fellow YouTuber Niomi Smart up until 2015 when the two split. He is currently dating Finnish professional climber Lotta Hinsta who looks insanely cool.

Since his YouTube days, he has ventured into modelling and walked for the Prada Spring/Summer 2024 Menswear Fashion Show in Milan. He’s also an active member of OnlyFans, having started his account in 2022.

Niomi Smart

Niomi split from her ex Marcus Butler in 2015, but since then she has announced her engagement to her boyfriend Jamie White. Niomi was previously engaged to Joe Woodward in 2019, but announced their split on 2020. She still posts regular health and beauty content on her socials and launched her own skincare brand Smart Skin.

Dan Howell & Phil Lester

Dan and Phil were darlings of Tumblr and whilst the two lived and made YouTube videos together there would be constant rumours about whether the two were secretly dating or not. In 2019 the two revealed they were in a relationship together, but wanted to keep it private, very wholesome!

Since then Dan has been on tour throughout the UK, Australia, USA and New Zealand as well as having written two books.
