Phoebe and Bo caught kissing in a crowded room

Arguably one of the most iconic things to happen at the tour so far was the bizarre accidental hard launch of Bo Burnham and Phoebe Bridgers on Keith Urban’s Instagram. The singer posted an innocent video of him and his wife, Nicole Kidman, singing along to Taylor’s music in the VIP section of the Eras tour.

However, the video went viral for an entirely different reason as fans were quick to notice comedian Bo Burnham and singer Phoebe Bridgers seemingly kissing and dancing together in the background. The pair have been rumoured to be together since Phoebe’s breakup with Normal People actor Paul Mescal left fans heartbroken. Neither Keith nor the new couple have addressed the video yet, but it’s seems there’s been something going on behind the scenes between the pair.

Matty and Taylor’s love story

While we’re still recovering from the whiplash of Taylor’s breakup with long-term boyfriend and muse, Joe Alwyn, Matty Healy of The 1975 wasted no time in charming Taylor, often being spotted swooning in the VIP section at her shows.

The pair were first romantically linked in 2014 and their relationship has since come in and out of public speculation over the years. However, their relationship isn’t without its critics; with many proclaiming on social media that they miss their “dad”, Joe Alwyn. Matty, who has frequently come under fire for controversial comments he has made throughout his career, seemingly could not be more opposite from Joe. With their differing their attitudes to fame and life in the public eye, arguably Taylor has gone for a complete u-turn.

Fans noticed both singers mouthing “this one’s for you, you know who you are, I love you” at their respective shows and were quick to connect the dots the pair were also seen leaving an event together at Electric Lady Studio in New York City.

Marry me, Juliet

It’s unsurprising that the Eras tour has seen many proposals so far. Several videos have done their rounds on social media of people getting proposed to in the audience of the Eras tour, typically during the song Love Story.

One fan went viral for passing a note to the person next to him asking her to record him proposing to his girlfriend. However one couple took it even further, actually getting married during the show. Decked out in full bridal garb, the pair can be seen exchanging vows in front of an officiant as people around them clap and cheer in celebration.

 

 

Meetings in parking lots

Taylor proved once again that her Swifties are not to be reckoned with. Photos and videos have seen crowds of thousands of people standing in the parking lot outside the arena. Ticket sales were notoriously difficult, with many being either unable to afford the extortionate prices or simply not being quick enough on the ‘confirm purchase’ button. However, this did not get in the way of hardcore fans being able to enjoy the show, albeit from a distance, as thousands gathered in the parking lot at the Lincoln Philadelphia show to watch Taylor on the large screen above the arena and sing along.

 

Taylor Swift’s entrance onto stage

How does one transport a multi award winning and incredibly famous pop sensation onto stage for her shows? Well, eagle eyed fans began to suspect that Taylor was being transported onto the stage using a what’s being described as being a “janitor cart”. The large black cart was pushed back stage, usually by one or two inconspicuously dressed members of staff, before each show leading fans to assume that they were not, in fact, cleaning staff but rather transporting Taylor herself through the busy crowds.

Literal Midnight Rain

One of the most poetic things to come out of the Eras tour was the Nashville show that took place in torrential rain. The weather delayed the show by several hours meaning it went on until well past 12am giving the audience their own authentic Midnight Rain experience.

Many were concerned the show would be cancelled but instead fans were asked to take shelter inside the stadium, and Taylor performed the full show after the rain eventually cleared. The show went on until around 1.30am with fans leaving soaked with rain but largely extremely content.
