Janelle admits she and Jesse kissed after filming Married at First Sight Australia

Married at First Sight Australia bride Janelle Han has revealed the truth behind her and Jesse’s relationship status after admitting they kissed after filming the show!

Rumours began to spread about the pair after Janelle appeared in the background of a FaceTime call Jesse was on, and they were even spotted holding hands, fuelling the rumours even more.

Janelle has since admitted she and Jesse kissed after they stopped filming for MAFS Australia but the outcome may not be what huge fans of the show want as they are not taking it any further than the “peck” they shared.

Speaking to Yahoo Australia, Janelle said: “So there are some articles of me and Jesse hanging out a lot in Perth. We did have a bit of a trauma bond and, he might hate me, but we have shared a peck. Just an innocent little peck that’s it.”

“It might have been friendly, it might have been romantic, I’m not sure. But we have had the conversation that we weren’t going to pursue anything because I moved to Sydney. So at the moment, we’re just really good friends.”

Jesse also cleared up the romance rumours about the two, but swiftly avoided admitting he and Janelle kissed. “Janelle and I were looking cosy because we are good mates,” he said before admitting they had discussed a possible relationship.

“Janelle just moved to Sydney, so even if we were going to walk down that path, we both said to each other that a long distance relationship is not something that is an option for us.”

MAFS Australia stars Janelle and Jesse formed a close bond while on the show together as a result of their partners cheating on them with their partners in a cheating scandal like no other.

While Jesse and Claire stayed in the experiment to try and mend their relationship, Janelle and Adam left soon after it was revealed what had happened.

Janelle said she and Jesse grew closer for “a multitude of reasons”. “During the experiment, we were good friends, but then post experiment we got to know each other even more,” she explained.

“I understood more layers about him, understood he was more of an emotionally intelligent person, and I think things that I need in my own personality I saw him and I started admiring him a lot.”

MAFS Australia bride Janelle recently lifted the lid on some more details about her and Jesse’s romance on the Back To Reality podcast with Al Perkins and Taku Chimwaza.

She said: “There was a period where we both definitely liked each other, I was drunk one night and I told him that I had a low-key crush on him. But he’s been pretty vocal that I am his type as well, so it wasn’t weird territory.”
