Love Island Tom Clare brand deal

Love Island’s Tom has bagged his first brand deal as an eBay pre-loved fashion ambassador

He’s following in Tasha’s footsteps!

Love Island finalist Tom Clare has signed his first brand deal, and has been announced as eBay’s latest pre-loved fashion brand ambassador. Tom will be the second Islander to have this role, with Tasha Ghouri being the first ever in 2022.

In Tom’s partnership with eBay, he is hoping to kickstart the conversation about fast fashion in menswear. His new role will be similar to Tasha’s, creating edits with his favourite pre-loved clothes.

Talking about the collaboration, Tom said he was “buzzing to announce” his new role. In a post on Instagram, he wrote: “In the villa I loved showcasing pre-loved fashion from eBay, and the number of brands available is unreal, allowing me to push my style comfort zone.

“[I’m] excited to be taking the pre-loved conversation into menswear and I will be launching my very own pre-loved edit very soon, so watch this space guys!”

Tom spoke with eBay about his role and reminisced on his time in the villa where he and the other Islanders would “explore and create” their own style. “By working with eBay I hope we can inspire more men to be more experimental in their fashion and pick pre-loved first,” he explained.

eBay’s pre-loved fashion stylist, Amy Bannerman, said she noticed Tom “constantly reaching into eBay’s pre-loved wardrobe to build his looks”. She said: “Tom is experimental with the pieces he chooses, and I love that he wears everything in such a relaxed way, even when he’s in more dressed up combinations.”

Kirsty Keoghan, the Global GM of fashion at eBay said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Tom to expand the conversation around pre-loved into menswear. With Tom championing pre-loved in the villa night after night, it felt like a no-brainer for him to join Tasha in helping our mission to change the way consumers shop for clothes.”

Tom is the second Islander from his season to sign a brand deal, with Tanya being snapped up by hair company, EA Hair. The company is a salon with a focus on luxury wigs and hair extensions.
