She has her eyes on Tom! Meet Claudia, the Love Island bombshell with a very famous dad

I’ve got a text! It’s time for another bombshell to hit the Love Island 2023 villa, and this time it’s a girl called Claudia. She knows who she has her eyes on, and you might recognise her, as she has a very famous dad.

New Love Island bombshell Claudia is 28 and from Blackburn

Claudia Fogarty is 28 and from Blackburn. She currently works as a fashion boutique owner. When asked why Love Island, Claudia said: “It’s come at the perfect time in my life. I’m 28, I’m not getting any younger and I’ve been single for eight months, so I feel ready to settle and find ‘the one’. I’m done with the ‘bad boys’, I just want to find my person and now is the right time.”

Her father is Carl Fogarty, and he has given her strict instruction ahead of being in the Love Island villa

Claudia’s dad is Carl Fogarty MBE, who won I’m A Celeb in 2014 and is a former motorcycle racer. When asked how her dad feels about her being on the show, she said he is “really for it” and wants her to take the opportunity. “My dad said he was really proud and to take the opportunity to find someone that’s not a dickhead, that’s exactly what he said to me,” she said.

However, he told her “absolutely no sex on TV” and he hasn’t really watched the show before, so Claudia thinks it could be “a bit of a shock”. She added: “I just said get a blind fold on, shut your eyes, if you don’t like it, turn it off.”

She said her dad has advised her to be herself, never hide who she is and everyone will love her. “My dad wins everything he does but for me it’s not about winning it’s about finding love,” she said. “My dad will be proud to watch me, but he will also be nervous. He said he’s excited to see me on TV as opposed to him – he’s passed me the baton.”

But, what might impress her dad in a potential partner for his daughter? Claudia said: “To be able to ride a motorbike! No, in all seriousness he just wants me to find someone that is driven and settled. If I can find someone that my family loves too, that would be amazing.”

Claudia thinks she will bring northern charm and banter to the Love Island villa

When asked what she will bring to Love Island, Claudia said: “Definitely my northern charm with some humour, bubbliness and sass. My northern banter is going to be coming in with me. I think I’ll spice things up a bit, I’m a confident person, I can be fiery when I want to be, but I’m a girls’ girl so I know I will get on well with all of them all.”

She said her friends and family would describe her as confident, and the wild child of the group. “I’m loud, full of energy, the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave,” she said.

Right, who does Claudia fancy? She said she has her eyes on Tom, as he’s “a really down-to-earth guy and he’s family orientated like me.” She added that Casey’s “very good looking, his eyes are gorgeous and he seems like a down-to-earth genuine guy, too. However, I’m very open-minded; I could like any of them.”

Claudia gets the ick with how people drink a cuppa, yes really

Claudia gets the ick in a very specific situation. “If a guy has a cup of tea or a coffee and they make a slurp noise and say, ‘Oh that was a really good brew’. Just no, drink it and get on with it, I don’t like a slurper,” she said.

When asked why she’s single, she added: “I’ve just not found the right person yet. I’ve been in three long-term relationships and I’ve always been the one to end it. I usually get a three year ‘itch’. I want someone who’s going to adore me and I’m their everything.”
