If you thought the DCC pay was good, you won’t believe how rich the team’s president is!
He bought the team for $140 million in 1989
Kelli Finglass is the boss babe that runs Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, so it’s safe to say she gets a hefty salary. But she earns just a small portion of the wealth that DCC president and general manager, Jerry Jones, has. He’s just agreed to give the team $400 pay rises,
Kelli Finglass’ DCC salary is genuinely huge
Kelli Finglass’ yearly salary is reportedly $1.5 million, as per Dallas Observer. She’s always wearing a Louis Vuitton bag, undergoes hyaluronic acid fillers, which can cost up to £800 per syringe, while the Dallas Cowboys’ estimated value is $9.2 billion.
Her husband, Joel, works as a coach for a local lacrosse team. After being on the DCC squad for five years in 1989, Kelli retired from cheering, but she didn’t go far before she was appointed senior director under the Dallas Cowboys president, Jerry Jones.
She attributes Jerry’s daughter Charlotte with securing her this job, whose father has a $19.1 billion net worth, as per Forbes, as the DCC owner. He is 13th on the list of the world’s richest sports team owners, having started work as a customer greeter at age nine.
Jerry bought DCC for $140 million in 1989, and became head coach at the time. He brought up the value of DCC to $10 million, and has led the team’s value to well over $1.2 million per season, while Kelli became the cheerleaders’ director and business manager.
The DCC cheer team just received $400 pay rises
Kelli has been supportive of the DCC team getting a pay rise, and each of them earn round $2,000 per game, which would total $34,000 for the 17 games during the regular season, but excludes additional payments for other events and appearances.
“The cheerleaders are paid for all rehearsals, performances, appearances,” she told Netflix’s Tudum. “They’re paid for all time worked, and it’s increased through the years. Outside of that, they’re part-time employees — like any company, we don’t quote specific wages or salaries.”
DCC used to earn $15 an hour and $500 for each appearance, as of 2024, and are known to be one of the highest-earning cheerleading teams in the world. Cheerleader Jada said on the show: “After season 1 came out, and we had so many fans speaking up about our pay.”
