Another day, another Euphoria controversy. This time, former Disney star turned OnlyFans creator Maitland Ward has given her verdict on Cassie’s (Sydney Sweeney) season three storyline, and she thinks it’s “disgusting and vile.” Cassie’s foray into OnlyFans has taken up a major part of the long-awaited third chapter, and each week has been more shocking than the last. There’s been so much explicit content that fans have started describing Euphoria season three as a Sydney Sweeney humiliation ritual. For those who genuinely work in the adult entertainment industry, it’s been damaging to say the least. This is an issue Ward has been vocal about, saying the HBO series perpetuates harmful stereotypes about sex workers. Maitland Ward says Euphoria season three makes fun of sex workers The Boy Meets World star spoke to TMZ Live last night, where she explained what Euphoria gets wrong about OnlyFans, and one particular moment came up that you will no doubt remember: Cassie role-playing as a baby. On the topic of paedophiles on the platform, Ward said, “That’s the whole reason you wouldn’t be allowed to do that. You don’t want paedophilia anywhere near pornography.” “It presents OnlyFans and its creators in a way that we are not,” she added. Ward went on to argue that Euphoria isn’t celebrating sex workers or content creators, but instead reducing them to shock value punchlines. “In the climate that we’re in, to do that and to use Sydney Sweeney of all people – who has had such controversy on her own – to come forth and do these crazy stunts… [It] is making fun of Only Fans creators. “It’s not celebrating them. It’s saying, ‘Oh, look at how weird and creepy they are.’” Maitland Ward rips Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney baby role-play OnlyFans parody. 😬 https://t.co/17vdYxEB0f pic.twitter.com/ZjcY25384l — TMZ (@TMZ) May 14, 2026 What’s more, Ward believes the storyline perpetuates the idea that anyone can make millions just by carrying out extreme stunts on Onlyfans. “There are so many creators who are really working hard to build their brands every day, and this is really disingenuous,” she added. “To say she can just come on and bounce her boobs and do these gross shots and she’s going to make millions overnight is not the case.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
