*Warning: Spoilers ahead for VisionQuest episode 7 and 8* VisionQuest episode 8 spoilers were leaked yesterday, with still a week to go before the finale arrives, but someone who has actually seen the episode reckons the details in the leaked article are inaccurate. Episode 7 dropped on Disney+ yesterday and ended on a massive cliffhanger. While fans are trying to work out who Ultron is based on in VisionQuest, details about the finale have been leaked. Inverse accidentally published an article revealing massive spoilers from episode 8, but quickly took it down. But not before people had read it and shared screenshots. Now, Demet K. from Nexus Point News, who has seen the finale, has questioned the accuracy of the leaked article. Taking to Twitter, Demet wrote, “The Inverse article is inaccurate. Makes me think they were on their phones while watching because I was like “huh???” when i read it. That’s all i’m gonna say.” So, what exactly did the article reveal? Credit: Disney+ The article was titled ‘Dreambinding? How Billy Maximoff Returns in VisionQuest’, and its headline immediately revealed that Joe Locke’s Billy would apparently return in the final episode. According to the report, Billy has been trying to locate his twin brother Tommy Maximoff (Ruaridh Mollica), who is now living in London under the name Thomas Shepherd. But the article claims that the brothers don’t actually reunite in person. Instead, Billy supposedly uses a magical process called dream-binding to communicate with Tommy. It explains that Billy casts a dream-binding spell, potentially with some guidance from Agatha Harkness. This supposedly allows him to speak to Tommy, but only when his brother is unconscious. Interestingly, Tommy asks his friend Lisa (Lauren Morais) to hold him underwater. This is connected to his past trauma at a swimming pool, where the original Thomas Shepherd drowned before Tommy’s soul inhabited his body. The article claims that this brings Tommy closer to Billy spiritually, allowing the brothers to finally catch up. Tommy also apparently asks Billy to help save Vision (Paul Bettany), but Billy is supposedly too far away to physically intervene. If the report is accurate, Billy’s return would be more of a magical reunion than an actual physical appearance alongside his brother. But fans think Billy could physically appear in the finale Credit: Disney+ Following the leak, people on Reddit started looking more closely at the promotional footage released for VisionQuest. One particular shot shows a hand with blue magic and black nail polish seemingly helping Vision. Naturally, some viewers believe this could belong to Billy. Another promotional shot shows Tommy walking through a room with candles and runes on the walls. Some think this could be connected to the dream-binding sequence described in the leaked article. But there’s also speculation that Billy initially contacts Tommy through magic before eventually making a physical appearance. One person on Reddit said, “I’m having trouble figuring out how that shot with the hands reviving Vision fits in if it’s only a telepathic reunion?” Another said, “I’m wondering if that scene from the promo of Tommy walking into the room with the candles is a telepathic meeting earlier in the episode, and then at some point later on, Billy is able to like portal or fly over to help out in person because he then knows where Tommy is?” There’s also speculation about whether Billy could somehow be possessing Tommy during certain scenes. One person pointed out, “I just thought it looked like one hand blurred and doubled from moving very fast lol” But another said, “You can see the top of his right hand at the bottom so I hope that’s a good sign lol.” So, whether Billy is actually there in person or communicating through magic remains unclear. Billy has been searching for Tommy for nearly two years Credit: Disney+ At the end of Agatha All Along, Billy set out to find Tommy after discovering that his brother’s soul had survived and was living in another body. But VisionQuest takes place considerably later. Some people have pointed out that Billy could have spent close to two years searching for Tommy without finding him. One person on Reddit wrote, “Bro conjured a whole ass pocket dimension in a single night but took 6 months to track his brother’s soul lmao is Agatha even teaching him anything?” Another wrote, “6 months? AAA takes place at the end of 2026 and VQ at the end of 2028. Bro’s been searching (and failing) for closer to 2 years now.” The reported dream-binding spell could explain how the brothers finally make contact, but Demet’s comments have made it difficult to take Inverse’s account at face value. For now, neither the dream-binding explanation nor the theories about Billy physically appearing have been confirmed. VisionQuest episode 8, titled ‘Forever’, arrives on Disney+ on November 10, so we won’t have to wait much longer to find out what actually happens between the Maximoff brothers.
