McKenna Grace has explained that her decision to avoid nude and highly sexualised acting roles has nothing to do with her dream of becoming a Disney princess. The actress is busy promoting her upcoming film The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Apart from going viral for her iconic film-inspired outfits, she recently found herself at the centre of a conversation after an interview with Cosmopolitan led to major reports suggesting she was turning down nude scenes because she wanted to land a Disney role. In the interview, she said, “At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things. I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change.” She also added, “It’s not like I only do wholesome things, my character literally gets gutted by Ghostface in Scream, but my dream is to try and be a Disney princess someday.” But some reports appeared to connect her comments about nudity with her Disney princess ambitions. But she has now set the record straight, explaining that the two things are completely unrelated. ‘The two quotes being used right now in these titles are unrelated’ Sharing a screenshot of Variety’s headline about her interview on Instagram, Grace explained, “The two quotes being used right now in these titles are unrelated. I said at this point in my career I think I’m uncomfortable doing something, but I respect everyone who does, and I also have a dream job!” She added, “I’m not uncomfortable doing nude scenes / hyper sexual roles simply because ‘I want to be a Disney princess’; it’s just because of my own personal boundaries and the level of comfortability I have with that sort of thing right now at this point in my life!” She also seemed surprised by how much attention the discussion had received, adding, “Silly that it’s become such a source of conversation! So many more important things to talk about.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page. Post navigation Next storyPrevious story
