Sebastian Croft starred in Heartstopper and Game of Thrones before Celebrity Traitors

He’s been in some huge shows

If Sebastian Croft looked familiar to you when he walked into the Celebrity Traitors, there’s a very good reason for it.

The 24-year-old actor has already appeared in some seriously recognisable TV shows and films, despite admitting in the first episode that he was probably “less well-known” than some of his fellow contestants.

Rather than seeing that as a disadvantage, though, Sebastian reckoned it could actually work in his favour. And honestly, being underestimated on The Traitors is probably not the worst position to find yourself in.

Sebastian, who is also known as Bash Croft, started acting at a young age after initially appearing on stage. He moved into television in his early teens, with roles in Houdini & Doyle and Penny Dreadful.

Then came a rather major credit: Game of Thrones.

At just 14, Sebastian was cast as the younger Eddard Stark, the character played by Sean Bean. He later returned to the show in its sixth season, where he played Robert Aramayo.

His early career also included the 2016 film Wonderwell, where he appeared alongside the late Carrie Fisher.

But for a whole new generation of peope, Sebastian is probably best known as Ben Hope in Netflix’s Heartstopper.

He appeared in 13 episodes of the teen drama, alongside Kit Connor, Joe Locke and Bradley Riches. More recently, Sebastian appeared as Silvio Salucci in the historical drama Dope Girls.

His career hasn’t been entirely controversy-free, either. In 2023, he faced backlash after being announced as part of the cast of the Hogwarts Legacy video game.

“I was cast in this project over 3 years ago, back when all Harry Potter was to me, was the magical world I grew up with,” he said on Twitter at the time. “This was long before I was aware of JK Rowling’s views. I believe wholeheartedly that trans women are women and trans men are men.”
