Wait, did Disney’s David Henrie date Erika ‘evil eyes’ Kirk? *That* resurfaced picture, explained

Alex Russo would never stand for this

In a crossover literally no one saw coming, there’s a picture swimming about Twitter that shows Wizards of Waverly Place star David Henrie with Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika.

There’s some classic Disney beef going on right now, and it all boils down to Wizards of Waverly Place, David Henrie, and his former co-stars. Long story short: Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, David DeLuise, and Dan Benson have all slammed the sequel show, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, in some way shape or form.

It’s kinda exhausting, to be honest, but it’s sparked a wave of David Henrie slander that the internet is THRILLED about. Why don’t we like him? Am I missing something?

The context to that pic of David Henrie and Erika Kirk

This isn’t the first time the picture has resurfaced, it seems, because some outlets covered it back in January of this year.

Dating back to 2014, four years before she met the late Charlie Kirk, the picture showed the d-tier celebs beaming. They weren’t on a date, despite what Twitter is claiming.

“You have one life… make it your mission to use that precious gift to change the world,” Erika captioned the photograph. “So blessed to have friends like @davidlhenrie who understand that calling.”

After checking, I can confirm that they both still follow each other, suggesting they’re still friends despite the questionable statements on Erika’s part. Though we often wrongly assume that our fav child stars share our values, David actually might be closer to Erika Kirk than it seems.

After Wizards of Waverly Place left him feeling lost, David converted to become a practising Catholic. He just released a book called “Is God Bigger Than A Dragon?” with his wife.

Is David Henrie MAGA?

Having a friendship with Erika Kirk and being an American Catholic often leads people to claim that David Henrie is secretly a fan of Trump and MAGA – but what are the facts? Annoyingly, or perhaps deliberately, David has never been outspoken about politics, but that isn’t to say that some conclusions can’t be drawn.

David has long preached about the power of family values, which some people clocked as a Republican dogwhistle, and he’s also championed traditional and faith-friendly storytelling in TV and film. He also slammed the use of social and political “agendas” in Hollywood, and portrayed a young Ronald Reagan in the biopic about the infamous Republican president.

Over on Instagram, David follows the following accounts: Donald Trump, right-wing podcaster Shawn Ryan, and Jake Paul. We also know that he’s a believer in the Second Amendment, because he was arrested at an airport in 2018 for having a loaded gun in his suitcase.

Still, nothing can be said for certain.
