Where tf is The Pitt season two? HBO Max’s UK release is clapped, so here are the deets

The UK got a little bit brighter earlier this month when The Pitt became watchable thanks to the introduction of HBO Max.

Unfortunately, the long-awaited release was muddied by controversy and backlash. A large chunk of the content simply isn’t there, tied up instead with releases on platforms like NOW and Sky.

The Pitt, which is just about to finish its second season in the US, is an Emmy-winning medical drama where each episode is a single hour in an emergency department. It makes for a gripping watch, and saying it’s intense would be an understatement. Rotten Tomatoes also sings its praises, giving season one 99 per cent and season two 95 per cent.

Though the HBO Max platform is not exactly worth your coin right now, for The Pitt alone, it’s definitely worth considering. You can also watch it through Sky and NOW if you already have subscriptions to them.

Season one of The Pitt dropped all at once on HBO Max UK last week, and that’s all 15 episodes. Episode one of season two was also released at the same time, despite the US being way ahead. They’re about to watch the finale, meaning there’s a 14-episode difference.

For some reason (it’s definitely so you don’t binge and delete the app), HBO Max is releasing each new episode every Thursday. Despite that, people on Twitter were angry upon waking up on Thursday morning – it simply wasn’t available to watch.

“Does anyone know at what time The Pitt season 2 episodes are supposed to drop at? (on HBO UK). I just know it’s on Thursdays,” one person moaned.

“Why is HBO Max UK drip-feeding The Pitt S2, may I ask?” another said.

At the time of writing, at around 6 pm, the episode was still not out. The running theory is it’s dropping at 9 pm, but that is yet to be seen.

HBO have not issued a statement about it, so fingers crossed it’s available to watch in a few hours.
