MAFS UK 2025’s Abigail used to be a bodybuilder, and the transformation pictures are wild
I can’t believe she used to do this
MAFS UK 2025 bride Abigail Lindsay looks completely unrecognisable in old photos from her time as a bodybuilding champion. Honestly, the transformation is wild.
Abi, who joined MAFS UK 2025 as one of the intruder brides alongside April Holmes, Leisha, John, Leo and Reiss, has already made an impression in the experiment. But before joining the show, she lived an entirely different kind of lifestyle that revolved around strict diets, intense training sessions, and posing on stage under bright lights in a competition tan.

Before signing up for the E4 series, Abi worked as a veterinary nurse, a career she’s said she loves because it lets her care for animals every day. Outside of work, she spent hours in the gym, and it clearly paid off. Photos from just a few years ago show her sculpted muscles, bronzed skin and trademark bodybuilding poses, looking worlds away from the Abi we’ve seen getting married on TV.

Reflecting on her time competing, Abi once wrote: “I still can’t believe that was me on the @2brospro_events @bodybyo stage. I invested so much time, money, and sacrificed social events to bring the best package I could.”

She added that she was determined to push herself even further, saying she was “excited to bring an even better physique next time”.

Between 2021 and 2022, her Instagram was filled with classic bodybuilding shots that show just how much work went into her transformation. Since 2023, though, she’s taken a step back from competing, and her Instagram posts now show her everyday life and her time on the show.

On-screen, things are going smoothly between Abi and her new husband John. Despite a few rocky conversations about her past, Abi admitted she feels optimistic about their connection, describing John as a “genuine, decent person”. John, in turn, called Abi the “whole package”.
