Campus has been a ghost town recently. The buses have been unusually empty and the clubs have been missing their most loyal demographic. That’s right – it’s almost Freshers’ Week 2025!

Whether you’re a returning veteran of Freshers’ Weeks gone by, or a first-time fanatic ready to enjoy their earliest taste of true freedom, Freshers’ is the most highly anticipated time of any student calendar.

The thing to know about Lancaster is that each college has its own Freshers’ Week agenda, making it a unique place for the first week of excitement. Don’t fancy what your college has planned? That’s simple – check out another college’s event offerings.

So without further ado, and in alphabetical order, because The Lancaster Tab does not want to be accused of favouritism, here is the ultimate guide to all the colleges’ 2025 Freshers’ Week events.

Bowland College

Sunday, 28th September: Arrivals (9am – 4pm) , Welcome Talk (4pm – 4:20pm), Welcome Pack Collection (4:20pm – 4:50 pm), College Photo (4:50pm – 5pm), Karaoke (8pm – 11:30pm).

Monday, 29th September: Breakfast (9am – 10:30am), Building Community and Accessing Support Talk (10am, 11am, and 1pm), Town Tours (2pm – 4pm), Bar Sports Taster (5pm – 8pm), Yap and Tarn (6pm – 8pm), Town Bar Crawl (6pm – late).

Tuesday, 30th September: Campus Tours (2pm – 4pm), Bracelet Making (5pm-7pm), Big Bowland Quiz and Bingo (8pm-11pm).

Wednesday, 1st October: Woodland Walk (10am-12pm), LUSU Sports Fair (12 pm-4pm), Just Dance (6pm-8pm), Big Red Bar Crawl – in town and finishing at Vibe (6pm-late).

Thursday, 2nd October: LUSU Society Fair (11am -4pm), International Buddy Meet and Greet (5pm -6:30pm), Tea and Toast (7pm-9pm).

Friday, 3rd October: Board Games (6pm-8pm), Lady Meets the Lion – a night on the town with Lonsdale (6pm – late).
