Love Island: Sammy and Elma’s tearful confrontation about their split was caught on camera

The Love Island: All Stars couple Sammy and Elma had an emotional confrontation following their split, and it was caught on camera.

Sammy Root and Elma Pazar delved into the reasons behind their break-up, and how it actually went down. Um, apparently Elma dumped Sammy over text so suddenly that he didn’t realise they were done?

Here’s a quick recap – Sammy and Elma are regulars on The Only Way Is Essex. They both wound up on Love Island: All Stars 2025, and got together. It was reported in June that Sammy and Elma were’t together anymore, but the exact reason and timing were shrouded in mystery. A conversation caught on the new season of TOWIE has revealed way more about this.

During a cast trip to Portugal, Sammy and Elma broke away from the group to address how “awkward” it was to be around each other following their split.

They gave pretty different explanations for their break-up. Elma explained, “I just felt it fizzled out. And I probably should have been a bit more vocal when I ended it. I do think that my communication skills are rubbish.” She also complained they didn’t go on enough dates, and their relationship moved too quickly from “just getting to know each other” to “it being like we’d been together three years.”

Sammy said: “I know, and you said that, but then I took you out loads. I feel like you don’t realise how much I actually really did, and still do, like you. I would have done anything. Because one of my favourite things to do is take the person you love out, and have a fun date night, and that’s what I love to do. I can’t read your mind. I didn’t know that’s what you’d rather do until you said something.”

Elma cried. Sammy then revealed exactly how she dumped him. He said: “You didn’t say it was done in the text, so I didn’t know what was going on… You just put, ‘It’s a shame.’ So in my head, I’m thinking, ‘Right, so, does that mean we’re done?”

Sammy “I didn’t know it was done. I never saw you again until we saw each other at the airport. And then you’re saying, ‘Oh, like, why are you being awkward?’ And that’s why. My pals are asking, my mum’s asking, ‘Oh, so what’s going on?’ I was like, ‘I don’t actually know.’

Elma admitted that she was “sh*t at communicating” and that “it probably shouldn’t have been done through message anyway”. But, she maintained that the fateful text message was “clear”.

‘They weren’t,” Sammy responded, “You put a big message about a load of stuff, and then just said, ‘It’s a shame.'”

Sammy then began crying too. He explained that before this conversation, he didn’t know if he should try to restart the relationship, but now he has clarity that Elma definitely doesn’t want to be with him.
