Wow, Melania wrote a ‘private’ letter to Putin and Donald Trump just released it in full

People said the letter was ‘AI slop’

Amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, met with President Vladimir Putin at a summit in Alaska last week.

Trump and Putin met on August 15 to discuss a possible ceasefire in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy set to offer his thoughts during a meeting on August 18. Some believe this could be the end of the war, which started back in 2022, so leaders such as Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron are also heading to the White House for the meeting.

What did Melania Trump write in her letter to Vladimir Putin?

At last week’s meeting, Melania wrote Putin a letter that some people claimed was “ripped straight” from ChatGPT. Donald Trump posted said letter to his Truth Social account, with Melania also posting it to her Instagram shortly afterwards.

Starting the letter with “Dear President Putin”, the First Lady wrote: “Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation’s rustic countryside or a magnificent city centre. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger.

“As parents, it is our duty to nurture the next generation’s hope. As leaders, the responsibility to sustain our children extends beyond the comfort of a few. Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all – so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded.

“A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you agree, is that each generation’s descendants begin their lives with a purity – an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology.”

In the final portion of the letter, Melania Trump implored Putin to “restore” the laughter of children.

“Yet in today’s world, some children are forced to carry a quiet laughter, untouched by the darkness around them – a silent defiance against the forces that can potentially claim their future,” she added. “Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter. In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone-you serve humanity itself. Such a bold idea transcends all human division, and you, Mr. Putin, are fit to implement this vision with a stroke of the pen today. It is time.”

The post accumulated 28k likes on Truth Social, but over on Melania’s Instagram post, people accused the First Lady of regurgitating “AI slop.”

“1. She never wrote this, and 2. Her signature is the same as her egotistical husband,” one person said.

“She hired a ghost writer who, in their spare time, writes sappy, badly written bodice rippers. She doesn’t care. She’s never cared about anything except her own skin,” another wrote.

Someone else said: “I don’t know what this word salad actually means– ‘forced to carry a quiet laughter?’ Did you just tell Chat GPT to come up with some letter about peace (or something) and put it on your letterhead?”
