Love Island 2025 boy claims Maya Jama was really ‘cold’ towards him on the show

He thinks he knows why

Blu Chegini – yes, the guy who got dumped twice on Love Island and famously declared he “wasn’t f***ing leaving” before immediately leaving – has now claimed Maya Jama had it in for him during his time in the villa.

According to Blu, Maya was cold towards him, and he reckons it’s either because he was a bit too opinionated or because of that Alima situation. Remember when he said she wasn’t his type, then everyone got mad at him for moving on too quickly? Yeah, that.

Speaking on Simon Gross’ Get Gossy With Grossy, Blu said: “Maya Jama was cold towards me because I was opinionated, or maybe the whole Alima controversy has turned her off me. I got backlash for saying Alima wasn’t my type – I wasn’t her type either. She didn’t get backlash.”

But apparently it wasn’t just bluntness – Blu says the whole thing might also come down to his struggles with English after he went to school in Spain.

“I was angry in the show, I struggle with English as I was schooled in Spain,” he explained. “I love women, I have respect for women. I couldn’t play the villain card, it’s not in my nature.”

Blu’s Love Island journey was… let’s say… unique. He was originally dumped in week one after that showdown with Shea Mannings, where he swore he wasn’t leaving before dramatically walking out. He then returned a month later for another crack at love, only to once again find himself in a friendship couple and was promptly booted out by the public alongside Helena Ford.

So in the end, Blu might not have found romance, but he did find a new enemy: Maya Jama’s alleged side-eye.
