These are the 30 absolute easiest UK unis to get into, based on UCAS points
There’s still hope if your grades are lower than expected
Please don’t panic if your A-Level grades this Results Day are lower than you expected. There might still be a UK uni that’s willing to take you. Here’s a rundown of the 30 easiest UK unis to get into, based on UCAS points. You might not need very high grades to get onto a course through clearing. What a relief.
As part of The Guardian’s university rankings, it worked out the average amount of UCAS points that successful applicants to each uni had. UCAS tariff points are how unis compare the braininess of students who were made to do different qualifications in sixth form. You get points for Level 3/SCQF Level 6 qualifications, such as A-Levels, the International Baccalaureate, Extended Project Qualifications (EPQs), and some music exams. I guess you’re wishing that you’d stuck with the violin lessons in primary school. So, the lower the average entry tariff is, the less accomplished the students there are, and so the easier that uni should be for you to get into. Are you following?
Based on UCAS points, the easiest UK uni to get into is London Metropolitan University. You should only need about 102 UCAS points to get into it. That’s equivalent to about two Cs and one B at A-Level. Not far behind it is the University of Bedfordshire, with 108 UCAS points.
I’m afraid there aren’t any Russell Group unis on this list. But quite a few Russell Group unis are offering courses through clearing in 2025, if you fancy trying your luck.
