Yasmin was crying in the Love Island final, and people have worked out the sad reason

During the Love Island final on Monday, many spotted Yasmin crying in the background, and people have worked out the heartbreaking reason.

The third place girlie was seen wiping tears from her eyes while Maya Jama was talking to the other Love Islanders, and people rushed to social media to comment on it.

“Yasmin crying in the background my shayla,” one person wrote, while another added: “Why is Yas crying in the background?”

Now, people are convinced she was crying because she had a gut feeling that something was wrong with her cat Miaow Miaow, who had passed away without her knowing.

She announced the sad news in an Instagram statement, writing: “As I’ve spoken about her on the show I’m sure a lot of you will know I have a cat called miaow miaow who’s been by my side for 11 years now.”

“When I was filming Love Island I had a bad gut feeling something was off and when my mum and sister came into the villa I asked them and still felt like something was off.”

When her mum and sister came into the villa, Yasmin asked about her cat and they said “everything was fine” as they didn’t want to tell her the bad news while she was still in there.

The 24-year-old said she called her twin sister Zara straight after the final ended, which is when she found out the tragic news about her much-loved pet.

“I’m trying to be as active as I can be on socials but am taking time for myself to process this heartbreak. RIP to my beautiful baby girl, you were so loved and will always be in my soul,” Yasmin added.

“Maybe Yasmin was crying during the final because she found out her cat died or maybe knew something was wrong deep down,” one person wrote on Facebook.

“I bet that’s why she was crying in the background,” said another.

Or maybe they were just happy tears because she was in the final with her two best friends. Either way, everyone is heartbroken for the Islander, who spoke about her cat many times in the villa.
