Maya Jama has only followed three girls after Love Island, taking her side in the divide

Maya Jama was particularly savage this Love Island season, making sarcastic comments and seemingly taking sides, and she’s only followed three girls after the show finished.

Toni and Cach were crowned the Love Island 2025 winners on Monday, and as soon as the final ended, the host hopped straight on Instagram to follow a few of the Islanders.

She gave a cheeky follow to finalists Toni, Shakira and Yasmin, but didn’t follow any of the other guys or girls, firmly taking her side in the now-famous villa divide.

On TikTok, people were speculating that Maya only followed them because they were the top three, and it had nothing to do with their actual personalities or the divide. However, Maya herself confirmed that’s not the case.

In the comments, she wrote: “I followed them yesterday… after the show was finished & last time I checked I had free will to follow whoever I like lol.” Maya is clearly on team Toni, Shakira and Yasmin!

Throughout the series, there was a major divide between the three favourites Yasmin, Toni and Shakira, and Meg, Helena and Megan, who were branded the “bullies”.

Speaking about why the divide formed in the first place after leaving the villa, Toni said: “I think that my friends and I were the ones to stand up for what’s right and what’s wrong and we owned everything we said when others weren’t doing the same.”

“We didn’t agree with a lot of people’s behaviour and were always vocal about it,” she added. So, the divide basically formed because Toni, Yasmin and Shakira weren’t afraid to speak up. We love to see it!

“From then on, I was treated differently. So then I found a friendship with Toni and we sort of flocked together. When you are a threat to someone’s relationship you are not going to be the best of pals.”
