Oh god, Love Island star rushed to hospital after nasty ‘accident’ in the villa

‘Everyone was really worried’

Filming was briefly paused earlier this week when a member of the Love Island 2025 cast was injured in a nasty accident in the garden.

This is not the first time a Love Islander has been injured during filming, with Casey O’Gorman sustaining an injury to his head during All Stars. Funnily enough, it’s not even the first time this season, with footballer Harry Cooksley earlier requiring medical attention after some acrobatics gone wrong.

“My favourite moment or memory in the villa … one day we were cartwheeling and Harry stood too close to the pond. He fully fell back, mic and all, into the little ponds like by the gym,” dumped girly Meg recalled on Instagram. “He had to see the medic and all. The medic told him to take two paracetamol and he’d be grand!”

This time, it was Jamie Rhodes’ time for a trip to A&E.

Why was Love Island’s Jamie taken to the hospital?

Jamie

News of filming being paused circulated on Wednesday after Jamie stood on a screw in the garden and needed to be stitched up.

A source told The Sun: “Jamie was taken to hospital after an accident in the villa. He stepped on a screw in the garden and after chatting to the villa medics they made the decision to take him to hospital. Filming was briefly paused and everyone was really worried as it’s quite rare anyone gets taken out of the villa.”

As Jamie was taken to the emergency room for treatment, which hopefully included a tetanus shot, the rest of the Islanders searched the garden for any other screws lying in wait for an unsuspecting foot.

The source added: “But after the garden was searched for any more loose screws Jamie returned all bandaged up. He was fine to walk – bosses were worried he’d be seen out of the villa and exposed to the outside world but it was actually fine.”

Jamie reportedly rejoined filming soon enough, and just in time for the Love Island Festival with Tinie Tempah!
