Eliot has finally confirmed his relationship status with Jamie after MAFS Australia

Eliot and Jamie have been getting very close after MAFS Australia in the most shocking couple swap of the season, and he’s finally confirmed whether they are actually an item.

They’ve been pretty vague about their relationship status up until now, but the groom has now revealed that they’re just close friends at this point in time – he wouldn’t rule anything out in the future though.

Speaking to 9Entertainment, he said: “Jamie is an absolute babe and I would be very, very lucky to be in a romantic relationship with her but at this point in time, we are just friends. I would say we are very close friends.”

“I’m not in any kind of position to be navigating a romantic relationship but I wouldn’t rule anything out and I am absolutely loving going on this journey with Jamie by my side,” the 35-year-old continued.

He explained that they were never close while filming the reality TV show, but watching MAFS back made him “feel for Jamie”. She then reached out to one of the other cast members to get his number, and they instantly hit it off.

“She’s the first person I call if I have something come up or there’s some news,” Eliot added. However, there isn’t anything romantic going on right now, as it just wouldn’t work out logistically.

“Things need to grow organically and there are certain things to take into account,” he said. “Jamie isn’t really looking to move to Queensland, she’s got a lot going on in Melbourne and I’m very settled here in Queensland and am not looking to move.”
