After leaving the experiment single, Paul has revealed the two things he would change about his MAFS Australia 2025 experience, and they were his two biggest scandals.

Carina ended things at the final vows after a rocky few weeks, saying that Paul meeting up with his backup bride Hannah was a breach of trust, and the “final straw” for their relationship. However, their issues began long before that.

Speaking on his Instagram Story after leaving the experiment, Paul said: “If I could re-do the whole experiment, I would’ve 100% not reacted the way I did that night, after my first argument with Carina. That was obviously my biggest regret.”

The groom added that he also wouldn’t have gone on that “silly date” with his backup bride either, saying: “That was very silly of me, but like I kept saying, I was being curious and curiosity killed the cat.”

His jokey tone suggests that he doesn’t actually regret going on the date with Hannah at all, but at least he took responsibility for the incident with Carina that happened earlier in the season.

After he punched a wall, the experts agreed that Paul was allowed to remain in the experiment, but he was banned from alcohol for the rest of the show and forced to do counselling sessions.

“I completely lost control that day. It’s obviously, of course, unacceptable behavior. It’s not something you do, that’s not how you deal with emotions and it’s not how I deal with my emotions,” he told 9Entertainment.

“I had to talk to someone on the outside, a professional, to actually talk about it and find some sort of peace as I was so mad and angry at myself for reacting that way.”
