Jacqui brutally responds to Awhina’s claims her relationship with Clint is ‘not real’

The MAFS Australia bride Jacqui Burfoot has responded savagely to Awhina’s claims her engagement to Cling was “not real”.

The MAFS Australia 2025 cast were just as stunned by Clint Rice and Jacqui Burfoot’s surprise engagement as we were. Jamie and Beth shrieked with shock. Ryan responded by attempting to video call Clint from the toilets. Awhina flat-out said she thought Clint and Jacqui’s relationships was “not real”.

Awhina said on the Australian radio show Stav, Abby, and Matt: “I will be 100 per cent real with you guys; it’s not real on Jacqui’s end. You know, we’ve seen Jacqui’s behaviour during the experiment. For someone who is madly in love, she’s got time to post 22 TikToks.”

She claimed Clint would “settle” for anyone because he’s “desperate for love”.

Awhina contined: “Jacqui is definitely taking advantage of the situation, and Clint has become her biggest enabler.”

Now, Jacqui has responded to Awhina’s comments, and she did not hold back.

During an Instagram Q&A, someone asked Jacqui for her thoughts on Awhina saying Jacqui and Clint’s relationship is fake. Jacqui replied: “I feel like this is really mean. If she wants to make bets on our relationship, she can put her money where her mouth is. Otherwise she should just keep her mouth shut, really.

She added: “If you’ve got nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.”
