Wait, did Paul just break a very concerning rule at the MAFS Australia couples retreat?!

People have spotted what appears to be a concerning rule break by Paul at the MAFS Australia couples retreat after he punched a wall in a violet outburst last week.

The groom was seen drinking what looks like a bottle of beer during the two-night stay in Bondi Beach with the other couples, even though he was supposedly banned from alcohol for the rest of the reason.

After he punched the wall in response to Carina revealing she had slept with a rapper, production laid out a strict set of rules he had to follow to remain in the experiment despite his behaviour.

This included regular counselling and a total drinking ban, but it definitely looks like Paul was having a beer at the couples retreat, and everyone noticed.

“Does Paul not have a beer in his hand? Thought he wasn’t allowed to drink during the experiment anymore after he punched the wall?” one person wrote on X.

Another asked: “‘Is that a beer in Paul’s hand? According to Carina, he was banned from drinking alcohol for the rest of the series.”

Others are saying it could be a non-alcoholic beer because the bottle is a different colour to the ones the other brides and grooms were drinking around the fire pit. His is green, while the others are clear.

Carina revealed that he was banned from drinking alcohol for the rest of the season in an interview with MAFS Funny.

“He [Paul] was banned from alcohol for the rest of the series. They gave him therapy sessions every Saturday morning. There were a lot of things that had to come into place for it to be a safe environment,” she said.
