Best places to take your mum in Lincoln for Mother’s Day 2025

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, Sunday 30th March 2025, it’s time to start planning a special day out for your mum, or whomever it may be you are celebrating this year.

If you’re looking for some inspiration, we’ve created a list of our most-loved places to go for a perfect day out in Lincoln.

So, let’s have a look at out at our favourite spots for this Mother’s Day.

1. Coffee Cats

This is the ideal Mother’s Day location for a coffee and a delicious slice of cake. It provides a unique experience, turning a coffee-date into a fun-filled afternoon. The cats are super friendly, and if you’re lucky, you may be able to see the cutest kittens too. Definitely an unforgettable way to spend Mother’s Day.

2. Wagamama

Wagamama is absolutely the perfect spot for lunch this Mother’s Day. It is situated on the Brayford, where you can enjoy your delicious Japanese cuisine and admire the swans passing by. This is my Mum and I’s go-to restaurant when we are in Lincoln. One of our faves for sure!

3. The Cathedral

If you’re not looking to go out for food, a walk up to Lincoln Cathedral would be a great idea.

To start of Mother’s Day weekend, they are hosting a Stained Glass Tour on the 28th March 2025 at 1.15pm. This is an event not to be missed, the stained glass inside the Cathedral is absolutely stunning, it will leave you simply mesmerised.

Another restaurant we would highly recommend would be The Botanist, just off of High Street. It serves an amazing variety of food that never disappoints. For Mother’s Day 2025, it has a Sunday roast set menu in place for you to enjoy the special day. Just when it couldn’t get any better, mums will be getting a complimentary glass of fizz too!

5. Franco Manca

Last but certainly not least, located on the corner of High Street, we have Franco Manca – a stand-out sourdough pizza restaurant. Their traditional pizzas are Napoli inspired, making them one of the tastiest out there.

From Monday to Friday between 12-4pm, it has a lunch deal where you can grab a pizza and soft drink for just £12! Definitely a brilliant idea if you’re looking to start your celebrations early this Mother’s Day.
