‘It’s going in a good direction’: MAFS’ Nathan and Islander Abi finally break silence on romance

After weeks of rumours, MAFS UK star Nathan Campbell and Love Island cast member Abi Moores have finally confirmed their romance. They sound pretty loved up!

The pair have been romantically linked since Abi started posting pictures with a mystery guy on her Instagram, who people believed was Nathan. The couple were also pictured on a date night at a restaurant. Now, they’ve spoken out about their cute relationship. It turns out they’ve been dating for over a month.

Speaking to The Sun, Abi said: “We wanted to keep it really private to start with. When you date and when you tell someone about it and it just goes terrible. I’ve been single for five years. We met and we got on really well and wanted to just make sure it was proper.”

Nathan cutely added: “It’s nice to actually have a conversation [with someone] who is really kind. I’m very easy going, so that’s all I ask, someone who’s nice – Abi’s really nice. She’s really kind, that’s all I ever wanted but her eyes, she’s got the cutest eyes.”

Abi added: “He is literally my type to a tee and he’s a nice genuine guy, there’s no hidden agenda. I feel like Nathan is not able to lie. So when he says things, he genuinely does mean them.” Abi said they understand each other well because they both have ADHD, and she feels as though she “manifested” a good match in her life.

Abi and Nathan also revealed exactly how they met, and said a fellow Islander was behind it all. Love Island 2024 cast member and mutual friend Reuben Collins was the match-maker, and he set them up on a blind date.

“We met organically through friends,” Nathan said. Abi added: “Reuben Collins introduced us. I’m really good friends with Reuben, once he came off the show we became friends. He always said to me that he felt really sorry for me and my dating life and said ‘why can’t we find you a man?’.

“So he said to me to come down to Sellebrity Soccer because it was in my local area. Me and Reuben were going for dinner afterwards but he full on blind dated me – he set me up. I turn up and Reuben said he was going in the changing rooms and he’d be right back and then he sent Nathan out, and he said ‘Reuben, told me to come and speak to you because you fancy me’.”

As for what’s next, Abi said: “We met four weeks ago, a bit over a month. We are exclusively dating. For my birthday in April, I’d like to go on holiday. We’re thinking about going away.” Nathan added: “It’s going in a good direction.”

After the news of them dating emerged, Nathan’s MAFS ex Lacey was said to be “fuming” over the revelation. However, Nathan has said this drama is well and truly behind him. “For me all the [drama] is behind me. I’ve never wanted drama. I never went into the experiment expecting drama – I’m positive vibes only,” he said.
