Resurfaced yearbooks cast doubt on Love Is Blind’s Alex and his earlier claims about school
Alex said he had an afro in school…
Much of Alex Brown’s time on Love Is Blind hinged on the idea of him being an underdog who was out to find love after being beaten down for years in high school.
During the podcast segment of the show, Alex told Madison Errichiello about his awful time in high school. He claimed he was bullied relentlessly, had an afro, awful skin, and was a bit larger, but now resurfaced yearbook photos have thrown all that into question. Are my eyes working because I swear he looks the exact same?

The photos were shared on TikTok by Edina High School where Alex studied in his youth. Though he said he was a bit of a loser in school, Alex was featured in several pages of the yearbook so he couldn’t have been that uncool surely? He sported a white t-shirt for his standard yearbook photo and has barely changed his hair so I’m not quite sure where the afro comment was coming from.
In the music section of the yearbook, Alex’s high school band was featured extensively with entire paragraphs dedicated to his love of music. At the time, the yearbook editor seemed very impressed with Alex’s YouTube channel and the way he was promoting his music.
“If it’s a really popular song at the time, or it was just released, or if I just really love the song, I’ll cover it,” he said in the yearbook before referencing his rendition of Taylor Swift’s We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together that was reportedly a hit at his school.
“A lot of girls are talking to me,” he said, which again leads me to question how honest he was about his high school experience.

Other people are also questioning how honest he was
It wasn’t just me who questioned the somewhat obvious lies Alex told in the pods, and though he very well could have experienced those things, three years’ worth of high school yearbooks seem to suggest otherwise.
One person said: “To be fair, he described himself with an Afro and braces in middle school. But still, this doesn’t really line up with the description he painted.”
“Didn’t he say he was really big and have an afro? Cuz he looks like every other kid in HS,” another said.
Someone else wrote: “I knew it. I knew there was no way this guy was a ‘loser’ in high school lmao.”
“Who’s gonna tell him he mostly looks the same,” another wrote.
